We have two non-profit organizations registered with the IRS: The Coalition of Sensible Taxpayers 501(c)4; and the Coalition of Sensible Taxpayers Foundation 501(c)3. We welcome your contribution to both.
1. COALITION of SENSIBLE TAXPAYERS 501(c)4 non-profit.
Unless you need the tax deduction, we prefer that you donate to our 501(c)4. Donations to The Coalition of Sensible Taxpayers’ 501(c)4 support the full range of our educational, research, legal, and advocacy activities. C4 funds can also be used for political activities on behalf of taxpayers’ interests. 501(c)4 donations are not tax-deductible.

Our CO$T Foundation is approved by the IRS as a 501(c)3. Donations to it ARE tax deductible. Foundation donations help fund our educational, research, and legal activities but are limited in the amount that can be used for political activities. The CO$T Foundation is already on the approved list of many Donor Advised Fund managers, including Marin Community Foundation, Schwab, Vanguard & others.
